Column : The reflection of Khulna University in my eyes.

Reality is better than expectation. This stands wrong most of the time, but for me, this stands right for Khulna University. Honestly speaking, every student dreams of a well-developed country for their higher education to complete; I had also dreamed of that. Due to many reasons, by changing the plan, I’ve chosen Bangladesh to have a quality education at a cheap price. The main attraction point of Khulna University for me before coming was the politics-free learning environment, which is a very concerning issue for the teaching and learning environment.

I think the perception of domestic students and my perception of myself as an international student is completely different. I arrived here as an infant child who didn’t know about the language, culture, society, and people. As a foreign student, I found the international office and staff, supporting and inspiring teachers, friendly friends, etc act like my parents who guide me in the process of learning language, academics, culture, environment, and people. I have a lot of memories of the initial stage of university as a child have childhood memories.

*Help is something, and care and affection are different. I have a second one. It means a lot to me in this new land.*

*What more can I expect from this university if I get parental behavior in the absence of my parents?*

The perfect amalgamation of greenery, waterbody, and built environment, The club activities like Bhairavi, Rhythm, Badhon, etc. are doing their phenomenal work in living the university. Diverse disciplines and students in one place make it a sharing and learning hub.

It is very positive that there are a lot of things going on in research and innovation, infrastructural development, and collaboration with other universities and organizations. It seems upcoming student will get a much better inclusive learning environment for charming their career.

My dedicated 5yrs to this university will be the most memorable period of my life. 2 years of remaining university life on one side made me proud and cheerful as I am gaining a lot of wonderful qualities from this and on the other side, I have to leave a lot of things which are very close to my heart. I don’t know from the outside; this university looks simple but for me, it has given the environment like a mother’s lap.

I wish and pray to the supreme power to make this university more live, more cheerful, more quality, and more inclusive, to make the thousands of students into sensible professionals who will work in the direction of humanity.
